Sleeping or Praying Through

Lately I've come to deeply appreciate my alone time with God. It has brought not only joy but peace to my soul every single time. This has been a quite a journey I tell you because there were distractions and it sometime felt like I didn't have time. This has made me realize that if you want God to work in your life you have to spend time in his presence. What I mean by His presence is spending as little as 10 minutes each day, either by meditating on his word or just worshiping Him.
Now you are probably saying to yourself I know this already...Yes I agree but let me shed more light on this. Sometime ago I was chatting with a friend of mine, we got talking about this special relationship with God and we shared how its made a difference in our lives. He made me realize that without talking to God on a daily basis we are nothing and we cannot do anything by ourselves, because our life will be meaningless. He told me how he went through some trying times in his life and if not for God he wouldn't have been sane. This he explained that there were times when he would wake up daily and didn't know how he was gonna get to work, but one word of "Lord I need you today" made a big difference for him.
Praying each and every moment of the day brings you closer to God each time. By communicating with God He shows us deep things of the spirit, He might even show you how your day will and things you should pay attention to. For me each day I talk to God I ask Him to make me a blessing to someone, He has in more than one occasions given a word to encourage someone. This in turn has also help understand how God deals with me.
Your case might not be like mine or my dear friend, but I want to know that without you asking God for that special friendship or that spouse or child you've been waiting for, you will not get anywhere. Prayer is the key that unlocks God's blessings...as the Sunday school song says"prayer is the key, prayer is the master key, Jesus started with Prayer and ended with prayer, prayer is the master key". So why don't you start today by asking God to help you communicate better with Him and to know His heart for you on a daily basis, wake up each day, set a time aside to fellowship with the Father and I promise you will not regret it. James 5:16 KJV " ....the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much".
