"It is perfectly alright to enjoy your life while God is working on your problems"-Joyce Meyer.
As human beings we tend to focus on the things that are not working in our lives and we forget the good things God has done for us. We focus on that marriage that is not forth coming, the friend that is constantly taking us for granted or the business proposal that was rejected rather than to remember the amazing things God has done. I was listening to this sermon by Joyce Meyer titled "Focus on the positive things in your life" and she discussed how the devil will make us see all that is wrong in our life and make us think God is not working on making things better for us. John 10:10 " the thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy;I have come that they may have life ,and have it to the full" . This scripture is just a perfect example of God telling us to relax and enjoy the amazing things he has given and if we wait patiently He will make sure we enjoy life in abundance. The key here is being thankful and to focus on the good things.

In this sermon Joyce also explained how its okay to learn to celebrate and give
yourself a break from those pressures that we keep putting on ourselves. Celebration according to Joyce could be taking out time to enjoy coffee with a friend or for ladies getting your hair or your nails done. We can hardly do things by ourselves anyway, so we ought to leave the rest to God to handle. This message by Joyce has been my all time favorite because she makes me understand that I can sit and worry about those things that haven't happened yet and think that nothing is working,or I could give it all to God and let Him handle it.
We all get into this mode where we compare ourselves to our friends or people in our age group, we think things are going well for them and we wish to have what they have. Friends, I ask of you stop! God loves you and He knows what you need each time, you might not see it now but He is working it out all we need to do is develop a heart of worship and surrender all our cares to him. I leave you with this sermon by Joyce Meyer and I hope it blesses you and helps you focus on the good things in your life.
