Choose Love

When we talk about love mostly our minds go to the romantic kind of love. Well there is a love far more greater and more beautiful than that. This kind of love is the one that God gave to the world in the form of his son Jesus Christ, dying on the cross for our sins.I'm not trying to be all preachy preacher here but I'm going somewhere with this. There are a lots of ways that we can show that we are children of God daily and one of them is Love.

How do I show love you ask? One of the ways to do this is by loving someone who you think doesn't deserve it. We all have that friend or family member that always gets on our nerves or has wronged us in one way or another, but according to 1 Peter 4:8 "above all, love each other deeply because love covers over a multitude of sins". By loving someone who constantly irritates you shows that you are willing to keep your cool and overlook what their flaws. I'm not saying you should let them walk all over you but you can let them know in a loving way (not picking up a fight as well) what they've done but regardless you still love them. This is sometimes hard but we have to try as a child of God.

Another way you show love is by forgiving. This is one of the ways that we all find difficult because we were hurt really badly. There are things that we've all experienced and we think that we can never forgive. If God was holding our sins against us none of us today will stand. There was time in my life when I always held on to the hurts and the pains caused by people and I realized that I wasn't moving forward. I dated a guy who I thought was my "Mr Right" when he broke up with me, I was so hurt and it took me a while to forgive him and during that time I was so miserable because I didn't show love by choosing to forgiving him. When I finally did i started experiencing God's Love and peace and I was more closer to realizing God's plans for my life.

In Our season of waiting we must try our best to show love to people by releasing forgiveness, don't be bitter because that guy or lady broke up with you or he or she didn't call you back after the first date. Forgive them, let go of the hurt so that you can be closer to your miracle, this might very hard to do but to experience God's peace and receive his divine blessings we have to choose to love because it is the greatest commandment.
