My steps are ordered and I'm making moves.

Do you ever get that feeling of being unsettled? When you feel that something is happening in your life and you can't figure it out. You don't know what exactly is happening but you know something's coming? Welcome to my life for the past few weeks. It's crazy but it's this feeling inside of me where I believe that something is going to happen. You feel God is making moves.
So a couple of weeks ago we had a change happen at work. I won't go into details but it was a decent change. Enough to really start looking at life in general, and really lean on God to provide the answers you're looking for. It makes you look at your life and realize that God may really be moving. When God is about to speak something, the people who really know their father can see when He's up to something. If you've been in a similar situation as me, we know that God gives us a unique ability through His Holy Spirit to sense when He is making moves.
Not long before I started feeling this (and it could've been before but I was not receptive to it) I had an opportunity present itself where I could volunteer with this fantastic fair trade business here in Winnipeg (shout out to The Joyful Project). Now for months I had been praying for God to use me in some way where I could serve Him and His kingdom. I wanted to be His hands and feet. I wanted Him to use me more than what I was currently doing (which wasn't too much). I wanted to feel fulfilled and show His love to those around me. Anyway... this opportunity arose and I was able to help out at the Manitoba Night Market at the beginning of September. So if you know me, you know I'm a creature of habit. I don't mind change but when I begin new things that take me out of my comfort zone, I get a tad nervous but excited. Ok...so I was a little more than a tad nervous. I went in extremely nervous, but came out a semi-different person (nothing changes that quickly overnight). I loved helping out. I was getting to know people and was learning a new way of working for Him...I was able to serve.

For most of my life I was not submitting to God. I would allow Him to lead me, but I was not fully submitting. His whole strategy is submission. He wants us to fully allow Him to order our steps. In 2 Samuel 2:1, David asked the Lord where he should go. First he asked the Lord a general question, if he should go to one of the towns in Judah. The Lord indicated that he should 'Go up'. David then asked where should he go. The Lord was then very specific and gave him a specific place. We have to have the confidence in Him to allow Him to make moves in our lives. David allowed the Lord to order his steps. When he asked a specific question God gave his a specific answer. When we are praying for God to move in our lives whether it's with a job, school, singleness we need to be specific with our prayers on where God should make moves.
When we begin praying for God to make moves in our lives we need to be submissive to where He will lead. Submission brings peace and when we submit to God's way, we experience God's will. When we allow Him to order our steps he tells us which steps we need to take. “If the Lord delights in a man's way, he makes his steps firm; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand.” Psalm 37:23. He upholds us with His hand. No matter what may go on in our lives where we want His leading, as long as we allow God to make moves in our lives and order our steps we will not fall.

I don't know fully what God has planned and I continue to pray that He will lead my steps. I have to trust that He will fulfill his promise for me when the time is right, and He has an awesome plan for my life just as He has one for you. Trust takes time, and as long as we are faithful to His leading, we can believe that he will make the right moves at the right time.
There is always a space between something that God shows us and the experience of it. I encourage you to submit to God and allow Him to order your steps. Allow Him to make moves in your life.
