It is difficult most times to stay focused when you are waiting for things to happen or change. Anxiety usually sets in while you are waiting and it can turn to depression if what you are expecting is not forth coming. It has happened to me on many occasions and I have always asked God to help me through the process and trust me it is best to just lay it all at his feet. Philippians 4 verse 6 " Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God." This verse has always been my go to verse whenever I'm anxious about anything, I read it aloud and then pray about whatever is on my mind.

As singles waiting on God for the right spouse it is so easy to get discouraged and anxious when you go on social media and all you see are engagement pictures, weddings, couples going on vacation etc. I want to tell you this that not everything on social media is a true portrait of what is real so stop getting yourself anxious over it, trust God and wait patiently on him because in due time he will fulfill His promise. Everyone's destiny is different as well as the timing to when certain events in our lives will happen are different. My younger sisters all got married before I did and while I waited for my time I made sure I encouraged myself daily in the word of God and I asked God to help me whenever I was anxious.
Also understanding your uniqueness is another way we can deal with our anxiety. Psalms 139 verse 14 " I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well" . When God created us he made us all unique in our own way, no two persons are the same, so our lives are different. Don't compare yourself to anyone else and never think things are not going to happen for you because you've had it rough, it will happen if you will only trust in God's timing be the best you can be, and wait for Him to make things happen for you.
Finally and most importantly serving God daily can help in dealing with anxiety. We can serve God by being nice to people around us, be sensitive to their needs and wants( don't be selfish thinking of yourself alone). Serving God helps you see how amazing God is and how He wants to make us happy in our everyday lives. So whether you are a single looking to God for a spouse and a beautiful marriage or you are just someone expectant of God's miracle or a turn around in your business or finances serve God and you will see how He make great things happen for you.
