Praise Break While you wait

While I was in church this past Sunday, I was thinking of things I need to achieve before the year ends, things that I want God to do for me and my family etc. the holy spirit then ministered to me saying why not count your blessings and praise God for what you have currently and where you are with your goals. See many times we get caught up with a lot of things and we think all that matters is achieving our goals rather than praise God for where we are currently and for the wisdom He gave to set those goals.

Do you know that our battles in life can be won through praise and thanksgiving? When we complain and grumble all day long it gets us NOWHERE but when we give God praise and thanks that He deserves victory is certain. I remember while growing up and things were a bit tough financially, my Dad will ask us to sing praises and thank God because things will get better. We praised God as a family and things got better. I can tell you on many occasions that this has worked for me, and God has proven himself faithful when I praised and gave thanks. We can see many examples in the bible when people praise God and they had victory. An example is when Joshua led the Israelite's army and they marched around the walls of Jericho, blowing their trumpets and praising God, then they had Victory. (Joshua 6 :1-27)

In our season of waiting we should cultivate a habit of praise because it reminds us of who God is and things He has done. Psalm 150:1-2 NIV- "Praise the Lord.Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens.Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness." Instead of being bitter or unhappy that things aren't turning out the way we want or that we're almost halfway through the year and that husband or wife or the job is not coming through, praise God appreciate him and give it all to him. I assure you that when you do, there's a breakthrough on the way for you. As a single lady waiting for her husband praise God daily for the beautiful home He's giving you and much so the beautiful love that will radiate in the marriage.

Don't become angry because the guy that you thought was the one disappointed you,but rather praise God for saving you from that future heartbreak. Trust me I've been there and I know how it feels, I chose to praise God even though it was difficult but I did and I received my breakthrough. As a woman waiting for the fruit of the womb, praise God for the beautiful children He is giving you, it might look like a long wait but praise Him because the children He is giving you are beautiful and they will be for signs and wonders.

This song by Tasha Cobbs always gets me going every time. Part of the lyrics just says:

So have a praise break this week, relax and see the victories, signs ,wonders and miracles that God will bring your way.
